Everybody LOVES going to the Florida DMV… just kidding! Broward County is a huge area, and there’s rarely a day you can go to the DMV without waiting in line for two hours. Unfortunately, there are some issues that HAVE to be handled at the DMV. So, it’s a relief for Pompano Beach drivers to know they’ve opened a new location here in our neighborhood. Raising accessibility to necessary resources like getting your driver’s license for the first time makes it a lot easier to make your time at the Florida DMV a little less stressful.
Access to the New Pompano Beach, Florida DMV Office
The new DMV location in Pompano Beach is located at Pompano Citi Centre, 1955 North Federal Highway. This is the open-air mall at the intersection of East Copans Road and Federal Highway. It's just north of our office on Federal Highway, towards the eastern side of the mall to the south of the intersection.
Its hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. The Pompano Drivers License Office is open on Wednesday from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.

What Does the New Pompano Beach DMV Do?
This office will help deal with many services that you can only get done at the DMV. While an auto tag agency can take care of many necessary legal paperwork for your car, there are a few services you HAVE to go to the DMV for. These are the following services that you can get at the Pompano Beach location:
- Driver license issuance;
- Driver license testing;
- Identification card issuance;
- Emergency contact information registrations; and
- Fingerprinting for commercial drivers.
What Services Can I Get at an Auto Tag Agency

New Full-Service Driver License Office Opens In Pompano Beach

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – As part of its continued efforts to offer enhanced service to customers, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) opened its newest full-service driver license office in Pompano Beach last week. There are five DHSMV driver license offices in Broward County.
The new Pompano Beach office, located at the Pompano Citi Centre at 1955 N Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, FL 33062, is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Customers can also save time by making an appointment prior to going into a DHSMV office.
The Pompano Citi Centre office offers the following services:
- Driver license issuance;
- Driver license testing;
- Identification card issuance;
- Emergency contact information registrations; and
- Fingerprinting for commercial drivers.
Customers should check www.GoRenew.com to find out whether the services they need are available online before visiting a service center. Most licensing services are available online, except for instances where a driver is applying for their first driver license, a current license has expired or if the driver has legally changed their name.
