In 2021, hit-and-runs were on the rise. This is an unfortunate statistic - and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (the longest title for a DMV in all the states, perhaps), is on the alert for this happening. This could mean that we might be seeing more enforcement and harsher enforcement on hit and run events. February is Hit and Run awareness month. Keep this in mind if you get into an accident: and remember, it was an accident. Stick around and help out the other person. Fault and blame are secondary when it comes to health and safety.
